awards, 5 second place awards, 5 third place awards, 1 fourth place award
Performed in the Iowa Jazz Championships evening finals program 19 of the 25 years
25 consecutive Division I ratings at the IHSMA State Jazz Band Contest in performance and sight-reading
18 consecutive years in the Iowa Jazz Championships evening finals program (1982-1999)
8 consecutive years 1st place at the Iowa Jazz Championships (1982-1989)
1st place at the SCIBA district jazz festival 22 of the 25 years
Featured jazz ensemble at the 1983, 1988, and 2002 IBA Conferences
Performed for President George Bush, Governor Terry Branstad’s “Iowa Community Betterment
Awards” live television broadcast, and the Iowa Sesquicentennial Celebration
